Want to know the secrets to keeping things sexy down under? Use this helpful guide for keeping the hair down there in perfect condition.

Wondering how the pros get that velvet smooth Brazilian bikini line? Here are some clues: you can do it yourself at home; it’s easy and quick; it won’t hurt a bit; it’s cheaper than you would ever guess! That’s right, we have unlocked the mystery of a perfectly manicured kitty and given you the answers in six easy steps!
Step One: Trim and Plan
Trim your hair all over as short as you can get it with shears. Decide now how much you would like to lose. Do you want to leave a small patch at the top and have your entire vaginal area bare, or would you rather leave a slender stripe all the way down? You may want to look at photos of other women to see what you like.
Step Two: Which Way to Go
Examine the directions your hair grows. This is important to determine which direction you will shave. You will see that the top half of your hair grows from the outer edge toward the center at a downward angle toward your labia. At the outer most edges, it grows almost sideways, but as you get closer to your labia, you will see the growth pattern begin to shift vertically. We are going to call this section of your bikini area your “Top Third.”
You may have hair on your outer labia and the top of your inner thighs. This is your “Middle Third.” It grows from the direction of your legs in toward the center. At the top of your labia, it grows in a vertical direction as well.
Your “Bottom third” is the hair that might grow further south than your vagina. It can grow in any direction, and it is not as course as the rest, so the skin there isn’t as irritable as your other two thirds.
If you are fairly hairless, you may choose to skip shaving your middle and/or bottom third.
Step Three: Properly Prep
Lather yourself up with shaving creme, such as Coochy Shave Crème (comes in a 4 oz flip top or 16 oz pump). It will prepare your skin for a close shave while moisturizing your skin and the hair you leave there. If you have sensitive skin, it may be the only product you can use to shave with that doesn’t leave you in pain. It comes in three sweet scents: Original, Lavender, and Pear Berry.
Step Four: Your Top Third
NEVER shave against the direction of your hair, when shaving your top third. You will give yourself cuts and an itchy rash called razor burn. Once your skin is used to being shaved, you can push the limits and shave across the direction of your hair growth, like crossing a T, but still never shave against the natural direction of your hair growth.
Using a good razor like Mach III (yes, it’s for men and yes, it rocks) or Venus, begin from the farthest edge of your bikini line and work your way in and down, following the direction your hair grows. Glide the razor in and down, leaving a strip (if you wish) of hair reaching 1-2 inches above your labia. To get a really straight line, you can shave in a vertical motion from top to bottom as well.
Step Five: Your Middle Third
Put one leg up on the wall of the shower, so you can see your target area. Begin shaving any hair you have on your inner thigh. Shave up your leg toward your vagina. Repeat on the other side. Then, if you desire hair-free labia, use your fingers to pull your labia taut and somewhat flat. Shave in the same manner (with the growth pattern of your hair). You will have to reposition your fingers and stretch in a different direction to reach the entire area.
Congratulate yourself on a job well done.
Step Six: Your Bottom Third
Use a mirror or feel your way down to your last third. It won’t take much practice to feel confident in doing your last third blind. You will want to line the side of your razor up with the crease of your cheeks. It seems to be easiest for most women to go from back to front (one exception to the rule since you are squeaky clean), but whichever way you feel comfortable with is fine. Gently glide the razor the full length of your last third, rinse and repeat a couple of times before switching to the other side.
Step Seven: Protecting Yourself
Your skin is being shaved as well as your hair when you use razors, so it is likely that it will be tender and extremely sensitive. To counteract this unfortunate state, use the Coochy After Shave Protection Mist or Coochy Powder. Both create a protective layer between your smooth skin and your clothing, preventing irritation and pain.
Now that you have a gorgeous new bikini line, your only job is to find a super sexy way to show it off to your partner! Send him a photo message of yourself before he gets home, tell him all about it over the phone, surprise him nude in bed, or bring him in the shower to watch you do it!
